The Purple Thistle is located approximately 60 miles from the Dallas-Fort Worth area. If coming from Fort Worth, take Hwy. 199 (Jacksboro Hwy.) all the way west to Jacksboro. Hwy. 380 E. is about 3 miles BEFORE you get into the town of Jacksboro. Turn right onto 380 E and go exactly 2 miles. We are on the right. From Dallas, take Hwy. 114 west. After going through Bridgeport and the Runaway Bay area, go approximately 13 miles and we will be on your left. The main ranch house is a white rock house with two barns and a circle drive. You really can't miss us. There is a vintage door sign in the driveway. Following check in, our guests will use their own private entrance East of the house. |
